Gems for Generosity Auction

United Way Auction

To show their appreciation for the Community acceptance of the new Ben David Super Store on Mount Cross Road, Leon and Mark David invited selected fine jewelry manufacturers, designers and local businesses to participate in an auction To benefit The United Way of Danville/Pittsylvania County. The auction of these items plus items from Ben David's inventory produced a total of over $13,000 to benefit the local organization.

Gemstones for Kids
Boys and Girls Club

         While jewelers across the country boomed with business during the 2006 Mother's Day season, Ben David's decided to support mom and more. Kids 12 years and under were invited to purchase genuine gemstones for only $1.00. Hundreds of gemstones were purchased by the kids and $800 was donated to the Local Boys and Girls Clubs of the Danville area.

Golf Tournaments

         Over the years Ben David Jewelers has Participated in various charity golf tournaments in the Danville area. A one carat diamond ring has been offered as a Hole-in-One prize plus various other items as door prizes to benefit such local organizations as the Danville Rescue Squad, Big Brothers and Sisters, and Local Chamber of Commerce tournaments.

Recognition

Over the years Ben David Jewelers has been the proud recipient of many awards for their participation in community organizations and charitable efforts. The Danville Chamber of Commerce recognized them as the 2006 Medium Size Business of the Year, and the 2005 Community Spirit Award.

Leon and Mark David, owners of Ben David Jewelers are pleased to have the opportunity to help make a difference in the Danville/Southside community with their participation in these wonderful charity events.
